For those of you who don’t know, Econ4U’s world headquarters is located here in our nation’s capital. So for our local audience I wanted to give an Econ4U tip that comes from years of experience brunching around the metro area: Where to find the best eggs Benedict for your buck in Washington D.C.

The key to a good eggs Benedict is a lightly poached egg, a perfectly blended hollandaise sauce, and ham that doesn’t overpower the egg. Here’s how the best D.C. haunts stack up.

#1: Tabard Inn, $13- Both my favorite brunch spot in Washington and the best eggs benny in town Tabard Inn, on 17th and N Street N.W, is the perfect spot for brunch with your better half or a thrill for a mother visiting from out of town. But it’s no place to maintain your budget. On top of the $13 eggs benny, you can’t escape without having some of Tabard’s freshly fried donuts which are $1.50 a piece and $9 per half-dozen.
